Richards was born in Penarth, Wales. She attended the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. After performing in short films she was included in the S4C Welsh language magazine show Mosgito. She also made appearances in short films. Her roles were often featured in BBC TV programs Crash and Being Human. In 2012 she was cast as an executive secretary, with an exaggerated English accent in the TV show Breaking In. 3] She became a Breaking In regular on January of 2012.
